# About Veldora

Veldora gives AI agents the Norwegian business register and Norwegian public tenders through one paid API, linked by organisation number.

## What it is

One HTTP API and one MCP server. Your agent can look up a Norwegian company by organisation number, search companies, search public tenders, and list the tenders a buyer has published. Answers come as plain JSON in a stable shape, so your agent can skip scraping registers and matching names.

## Who it is for

Anyone building an agent that checks Norwegian companies or follows public procurement: due diligence, sales research, supplier checks and tender monitoring. You don't need an account or an API key. See the [docs](https://veldora.no/docs) for endpoints and examples.

Veldora passes the registers on as they are. Each response names its source, says when we fetched it and carries the required attribution.

## How payment works

Veldora uses x402, the HTTP 402 payment protocol. Your client sends a request, gets a price, signs a USDC authorization on Base and sends the request again. The data comes back with a receipt. Prices run from $0.005 to $0.01 per successful call. Details are in the [payment section](https://veldora.no/docs#payment) and on the [pricing table](https://veldora.no/#pricing).

## Principles

- No person data. The API leaves out board members, managers and other roles, along with phone numbers and e-mail addresses.
- Sole proprietorships (ENK) carry the owner's name, so we return them without name or street address and leave them out of name search.
- You pay for answers only. We reject invalid input before asking for payment, and we don't charge for failed calls.
- When data is out of date, the response says so and gives its age.
